The people of the First United Methodist Church of Moweaqua, IL started a
mission in October 2000 making tatted crosses. The hundreds of crosses have brought
a feeling of strength and peace to the many people who have received
them.
We have been told so many wonderful things about the crosses...
- Doctors, nurses and patients have taken them into surgery
- Some have held them close during a long hospital stay or illness for comfort
- When transferred from a hospital to a nursing home the patient wanted only her
cross
- Life is now so much more meaningful
- Many crosses have been put to rest with loved ones
- Secret pals received them
- Military personal have them
- They are held daily during prayer
- Many prayers have been answered

by the members of the First United Methodist Church of Moweaqua. It was
blessed, and conveys our continued prayers for you and your loved ones.
Crossbearers Prayer
We pray for God's everlasting
love and mercy as you
"bear the crosses" of your life.
We pray that you remember
this as a symbol of the Lord's
promise of everlasting life.
We pray that you include the
Lord in all of your struggles
and all of your celebrations.
